Description
This is loosely based on the version from Unreal Tournament. At the end of the time period whoever has the most control points plus the least respawns wins!
Setup
- Describe the objective of the game to the players.
- Divide the players into two teams.
- Have the teams go to opposite ends of the play area.
- Enable the taggers.
- Blow horn to start the game.
Objective
Control the majority of the control points when the time expires.
Tips
Keep the number of life points low to encourage survival.
Have the respawn points in a location away from the control points and where you can respawn without being tagged.
If you do not have enough referees have a respawn point that a referee can easily see to respawn via the referee's tagger.
Have the control points in the open so you can easily see what colour is being displayed.
If you have a boisterous group you could have them holler out when they occupy a control point. e.g. "Control Point 1 Red"
Rules
There are three to five control points. The objective is to control the majority of these when the time expires. You own the control points by having the ball of your team colour displayed in the control tube. (See diagram below). These tubes are attached to trees, fences, etc. via straps in the back. If your colour is not at the bottom then remove the ball and put it in the top of the tube. This will then allow your team's ball to appear in the control tube.
If you are tagged out you need to return to your base to respawn; have your referee respawn and tally.
If you are tagged out you cannot move the balls.
For night games, attach a flashlight and aim it at the control tube opening.

Scoring
-100 points for every respawn
+300 points for every control point owned at game end
High score wins. Some people prefer to start with 10,000 points and then subtract the respawns and add the control points. The winning team would have a positive score instead of a low negative score - having a low negative as the high score confuses some people.
