Description
The inmates of the City Prison have escaped! They are armed and dangerous. Rumour has it they are after a treasure; but it is spread around the city. The guards are in hot pursuit and have to find the prisoners before they recover their treasures! Let the hunt begin.
Pregame Setup
Collect an assortment of items - suggest 6 and make a list of the items. You will need enough copies for the number of players. Put these lists in an envelope - maybe one envelope for each tagger and put the name of the tagger on the envelope.
Items need to be hidden prior to game play.
Envelope is to be with the ammunition.
Setup
- Describe the objective of the game to the players.
- Divide the players into two teams.
- Give the guards armbands/vest.
- Give each prisoner a collection bag for the items they are to find.
- Enable the taggers and send the prisoners out.
- After 2 minutes sound the alarm! The prisoners have escaped and it is up to the guards to formulate a plan to capture them all.
Objective
The guards need to tag out the prisoners; the prisoners need to find all the treasures. If a prisoner is tagged out he becomes a guard and gets an armband/vest so the other prisoners know he is now a guard.
Tips
If you are doing this off site then have your mission directors hide the objects while other missions are being played.
Don't have the respawn area too close as you want to discourage poor play.
If you want to play multiple times have multiple lists; so some items that are found will not be on the list.
Rules
If a prisoner is tagged out he becomes a guard. (Should you be able to capture the prisoners?)
If a guard is tagged out he must go to the respawn area.
If the prisoners find all the items on the list they win - note they may not know that they have found all the items since after they have been tagged out they become guards...how do you make this work???
No one is allowed to move the ammuntion box.
Prisoners start out with their taggers disabled, they must find the ammunition box or key to enable the taggers; this is also the same location as the items they must find.
Recommended Settings - Prisoners
Prisoners start out the game without any rounds, and no option to reload. They need to find the ammunition box or key to enable the taggers.
